Please note that the skin needs to be adequately prepared prior to skin needling treatment in order to achieve results safely and effectively. Therefore, Skin by Sarah offers skin needling to clients who have undergone a minimum of three months’ treatment in clinic with home care.
If you are a new client interested in skin needling, please book an initial facial in clinic with Sarah to discuss treatment.
Collagen induction therapy (skin needling) is scientifically proven to target the cells that are responsible for producing collagen and elastin, increase capillary strength and growth factors which improve your skin after every treatment. This is achieved by producing microscopic channels in the epidermis/dermis to stimulate the skins natural healing process by instigating the regeneration of your skin cells.
E-Derma Stamp treatments are recommended for:
Minimising fine lines (particularly around the eye and lip area)
Reducing pore size and improving your skins texture
Naturally increasing your skins collagen formation
Reducing scars such as acne scaring
Strengthening your epidermal skin barrier
Improve cellular communication and therefore assisting your skin to operate at optimal efficiency
Reducing pigmentation
Assisting sluggish skin that is slow to heal
Disclaimer: Skin needs to be adequately prepped on topical vitamins A, C and E to achieve the best results. Approved skin needling clients are required to come in for an in-clinic treatment and continue on home-care for between one and three months. If you are interested in Skin Needling, book an appointment with Sarah today.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens during treatment?
Surgical-grade micro-needles create tiny wounds that accelerate the body’s natural healing process and work to repair the skin through increased production of collagen and elastin.
Are treatments painful?
Thanks to the optimal needle count, needle design and speed of treatment many clients find treatments with eDermaStamp® involve minimal discomfort and are more comfortable than treatments with standard micro-needling devices.
What happens after treatment?
Depending on treatment intensity you may experience redness and minor pin-point bleeding immediately after a micro-needling treatment. Post-treatment redness may appear like a mild sunburn and last up to 3 days. Your clinician will recommend an aftercare plan and a post-treatment skin care product to assist in skin hydration and accelerating your results.
How many treatments are required?
Clients are able to see results in as little as 13 days with collagen production formulating 6 weeks post-treatment. Depending on the treatment area and desired outcome, most clients will require 4-6 treatments to achieve their best results.
